After the opening of the registration for the Denmark Open, we have received a number of questions. Below you can see the most frequently asked questions as well as our answers to these:
Q: Do I have to pay for my registration as soon as I have registered?
A: Your registration is not finally confirmed before your payment has been registered. If we – because the maximum number of starts are reached – closes for registration before your payment is registered, you will – regardless of registration time – automatically be transferred to the waiting list. You will of course be notified of this per mail if necessary.
Q: Will foreign participants have the participation fee refunded if they are unable to travel to Denmark due to COVID-19?
SV: If the DANISH authorities maintain a ban on entry for foreigners to Denmark, we will of course refund the participation fee. If participation is made impossible by the authorities in OWN country or countries that are passed through on the way to or from Denmark, the participation fee will in principle NOT be refunded. However, it is not possible to foresee all the possible combinations of travel ban rules, so we will not rule out in advance that reimbursement in one form or another may come into play.
Q: Will COVID-19 testing or “COVID-19 passport” be required to participate in the Denmark Open?
SV: We will follow the requirements and guidelines that the authorities apply at the time of holding the Denmark Open. COVID-19 remains a “player” that we all have to deal with. Therefore, we expect everyone to take care of each other, and therefore we encourage all participants who are not fully vaccinated at the time of the competition, to take a COVID-19 test a few days before the start of the competition.
